Additive Manufacturing Engineer
Are you passionate about the 3D printing world? 10Forward Technologies is looking for an energetic and creative team member who shares our interest in science, technology, and engineering to lead the development of our emerging Additive Manufacturing Services. This position has tremendous potential for growth determined largely by the success and determination of the Additive Manufacturing Engineer (AME) who could one day become our Director of Additive Manufacturing Technologies; leading a team and driving the strategic decision making of our additive manufacturing department.
An engineering degree is not required to be successful in this position!
About the Company
10Forward Technologies is a 0 to 1 technology development start-up located in the Northern Virginia area. We create unique devices for clients of all kinds. Doing so often requires new manufacturing capabilities like 3D printers and CNC plasma cutters and welders. To make sure we put these capabilities to use, we’re making them available to general customers too and that’s where the AME comes in, bringing our growing range of 3D printing technologies to everyday customers. Working at 10Forward Technologies means on-the-ground, garage-engineering experience unmatched in large-scale firms and major corporations.
Work Culture & Environment
· Largely remote, we’ll work together to figure out the best combination of shop vs. remote work
· Casual environment – the shop calls for safe and comfortable clothing though business professional attire may be required for customer meetings and occasional business travel
· Growth focused – this isn’t a data-entry internship or a cog in the machine engineering job. If you’re not growing, we’ll make the changes to make sure you can.
Compensation
The AME will be commission based, commensurate with experience. Commission will be 50% of all Additive Manufacturing Services sales profits with bonus potential. As the business line grows, salaried compensation and additional benefits will be substituted for commission.
